This is how you can get the most out of your time at the NEPGS library.
Kindly request a research appointment at least 48 hours in advance to ensure available staff.
Prior to your visit, check our Digital Library for files that may interest you.
View Digital Collection Titles
Gather your own documents to use as reference during research. You may bring along a laptop, tablet or phone to access your records however we do not allow flash drives or photography of our records. You can purchase copies of your family records from our digital library during your visit or you may transcribe information from the records by hand at no fee.
Parking
We have free parking just behind our building. As you proceed down Franklin St., look for the cobblestone driveway on the right just past our building. Follow the driveway to the rear of our building Kirby Annex ll and use the back entrance. We are located on the second floor.
Payment
Payment for Memberships or copies can be made using cash, PayPal or personal check. We are unable to accept credit cards except through your PayPal account.

• Individual – $40/year
• Family – $60/year
• Contributor – $100/year
• Benefactor – $250/year
• Life – $1,000
Copies
• Newspapers.com or
FamilySearch records – $0.25 each
• NEPGS Digital File Records – $5.00 each
Food & Drink
You may bring along food and beverages however they may only be consumed in our Library room. No food or drink is allowed in the computer room. We are located in downtown Wilkes-Barre with a number of restaurants and sandwich shops located nearby.
