Announcement of NEPGS Record Fee – November 1, 2017

NEPGS has dramatically increased the holdings in our Digital Library during the past year. A highlight of this collection is the Roman Catholic Church Records of the Scranton Diocese. We are the only source available for researchers for these valuable records which span an eleven county area.
While NEPGS is able to keep membership level rates low, with only a modest increase for 2018, we are experiencing increased costs associated with the expansion of our Digital Library.
With immediate effect, NEPGS is implementing a Record Fee of $5.00 for each copy of a record from our Digital Library. This fee will apply for all copies of a record (paper copy or digital copy) and is inclusive of any printing charge.
Patrons may continue to print internet-sourced records at a nominal charge of 25 cents per page.

NEPGS has many available resources which can aid in your genealogical quest. From books, newspapers, magazines, manuscripts, city records, church records, cemetery records and family histories, we have a wide range of material on various topics related to genealogy and local history. You may use the link below to browse an inventory of our Digital Collection.

Please note that you will only be able to view a snapshot of our Digital Collection. The NEPGS Catholic Church records are not available online! We invite you to NEPGS during operating hours to view the actual files.
